If he is really pressing me to become a Muslim,I wouldn't. Because he should respect my religion. I would do it only if I really want it,which I doubt. But I have met a Muslim man in the past who wanted to marry him although he didn't mind if I would change religion. Perhaps he was an exception.

Probably not let the relationship go that far. There is nothing wrong with different cultures or religions, but unless you are willing to give up your entire belief system and learn another, then you might be better off sticking with one who has similar beliefs. Marriage is difficult enough to make work without adding more disruptive factors to the equation.

Why would you have to do anything? If it's a serious loving relationship, no difference in religion, politics or interior decorating ideas cannot be accepted by the other person.

When it comes to one anothers families however, that could be a sticking point.

All these people that change their faith for someone ELSE.....it boggles me......it just seems so false! I mean.......if they're changing their faith just because someone ELSE wants them to, then a) they can't of been all THAT serious about their own faith in the first place to just "drop" it like that! and b) they obviously can't be 100% devoted to the new faith they change to, as its for someone else...not themselves (get what I mean??)

It just seems all so plastic and false......I can't see how a person can be totally devoted to one faith one minute then believe a total different religion the next.....especially when it is pushed onto them!!

If a person (or their family) can't except YOU for who YOU are (with or without your own beliefs) then they're not for you!!! No one should be pressured into changing their religion, and anyone who is - well I just can't see how they can be 100% committed to any religion!!

(oh dear!! you got me ranting with that one!! and I'm not even religious!!)

I will never ever give up my Jesus for anything or anyone. Happiness on earth is temporary but with my Lord, it's for eternity. Maybe I'll end up giving up my Jesus for my husband but then in the end the relationship doesn't work out. A relationship with God will always always work out, at least there is no disappointment there.

Does this count for atheists too? No - I wouldn't change my mind over a belief and I wouldn't expect anyone else to change their mind for me either. Unless of course it was reasonably discussed and I decided that the other belief was in fact correct. Certainly wouldn't be pressured in to it though

I would not love such a person.A person who has a faith is fine with me and I might love a person of any faith. But I can not love a person who doesn't love me- as I am.If they must change me to suit who they are or how they believe then they really don't love me- as I am.

It's doubtful that I would fall in love with a non-Christian anyway, but since this is a hypothetical question:
I would not marry him, because Christians are not supposed to be unequally yoked.
But I would also pray for his salvation.

I'm a muslim.

My ex was a Christian.

We dated and went out just like any other couple, we loved each other and stuff. The religion difference didn't really mattered, what mattered was the simple fact that I loved her, and she loved me.

Peace out.
