I have had a crush on my friend for (literally) 15 years. I wish I was making this up. We go out every now and then and he makes jokes about getting me drunk and taking advantage of me. I honestly wish he would. But I want a relationship with him and I am so scared of making a move and having it fall flat because I don't want to ruin our friendship. So do I make some kind of a move and potentially ruin things or do I just stay silent for the next 15 years or so? I cannot read his signals for the life of me even though we have known each other for so long. I tried writing him a letter once, and the only response I got was "Thanks for the letter." Does this mean I should just resign myself to being friends, or do I make a move? Anyone have any advice or real life experience in this type of situation?

Well you honestly dont want anyone to take advantage of you no matter wat becuze you will never no wat will happen but sweetie wat u need to do is sit him down with u in ur bedroom or in the living room some where quiet and when no one is around and tell him how u feel dont be shy cuz if u dont open up to him now u might never get a chance to do it to any other guy u might like later on in the future

well first of all--my hats off to u, the fact that you could hold something like that up for 15 years wow

anywayz, i would suggest making him a mix cd, of songs that can relate to your friendship, like love songs, or falling in love songs, etc. tell him to listen to the wordz and tell you what he thinks...if he knows you, do something around him that you do around boyz you like, then if he doesn't get it then just let it go....

or you can just get one of ur loud friendz to ask him what he thinks, they will tell you...lol

good luck

Try it............... Ask him how he feels......... there's a chance it'll mess up the friendship... you're the only one who can decide.........
