Interesting question
Can't speak for other religions but Christianity is still heavily influenced by the Victorians who were completely sexually repressed (linked to the general masogeny). The Bible however is much more healthy - being quite upfront about every aspect of sex... in fact Paul repremands those in the Corinthian church (1 Cor - chapter 5 I think?) for thinking that they're more spiritual by abstaining from all sex as a form of aestheticism.
God is very matter of fact about sex and it's a pity that his followers are often so teenage about it.

I would say it has to do with the whole misogynist view of the time. Nobody wanted to get a woman that had been with other men, and they knew if they made it "okay" for men but not "okay" for women, it wouldn't make sense because who would the men do? Each other? That's another NO! I guess nowadays in modern society it is so common that women put out and men do random women that it seems archaic to just be a celibate twit.

Because in the carnal world the man's got the money (and/or other resources that women want and need) and the woman's got the honey(sex, which most men want and need) and the power struggle resulting from this needed to be managed and governed.

Well....just when I thought I had seen it all you come up with this little beauty !!
No doubt there are cases of extreme sexual discriminations carried out under the guise of religious values but to take that as a tenet of all faiths is a total nonense .

I don't understand your question. Do you wish for example to find a religion where sex on the streets is approved, where they encourage people to sleep with animals, to be homosexual if it gives them more pleasure & to live like animals?
Do you think when God teaches us how to respect ourselves & others, it is called manipulation?
I suggest you read the bible before generalising your opinion.

It's not. So this question is void.
I suggest you expand your knowledge of non-western religions.
Good luck in your quest for enlightenment,
