If you want him to be fat, you need to feed him kitten food.
Kitten food is full of fat, for their growing body's.
Hope this helps.

Some cats are just naturally skinny. You may not be able to get a "fat cat." If you are already feeding him this much and he is not gaining a lot of weight, then I assume that he won't get very big. I'm not going to b*tch about cruelty, but you should remember that, just like humans, obesity in cats can cause serious health problems. You may have to decide between getting a fat cat or getting to keep your cat around longer, not to mention the potential for very high vet bills in the future. Just make sure you think your actions through thoroughly.

Seems like you are feeding him enough! But take into consideration his age. If he is still a kitten/young cat, his metabolism is going to be extremely high. Most cats (just like humans!!) pack on the pounds after they reach middle age and their metabolism slows down. Just give it time, after your cat becomes less active and gets a little older, you will be able to have a "fat cat"... it's just not something that's going to happen over night.

LOL, I am so glad your question was legit. When I first read the first line of your question, I thought oh no. I thought you were another "cat hater" who wanted to fatten his cat up for some sick reason. (like to eat it or something) People ask some pretty sick and mean questions in here about cats.

I agree with the kitten food. It has more fat.

Your cat will get fat when he's getting older, maybe another few more years if you feed him like that. However if you get pure breed Maine Coon, they weight 26lb easily once they're fully grown-- like about a year.

Fattening up your cat could have some serious health consequences shortening your cat's life........

Your cat weighs a stone?! Bloody hell, I'd say that's fat enough!
