Its such a cliche now to read your question...I agree with you, by asking that question feigns the concern of someone asking how someone else is really doing, but so much we say,,,,"oh, you know...." or "great, how was yours". Blah blah, like what's up, or something like that, its just a way of meeting now.
Since you asked, though, and thank you for asking, my day was average. My son ate pizza at school, his favorite, and didn't have homework this week because the Colts won the super bowl....lol His teacher is a big sports fan and had them pick their team, whoever won didn't have to do their homework this week. Good for me since I just got home from the hospital (I had my appendix removed) and didn't feel like doing a bunch of story problems with him. Pheww......That is what is skipped when I would otherwise say, oh, my day was good.....
Good question, I hope I provided some good info for you.

What a great question! I have to laugh though, I used to work as a front desk receptionist for a company and would greet clients with "Hi, How are you today?" 90% of the time I would get the standard "good thanks" but the other 10% I would get the no holding back, full description, downs and all!
Anyway, to the question. I had a great day! I have 3 young sons. My eldest has just started school, but has wednesdays off for the 1st term. So we all spent the day together playing kiddy card games, went to the park, and then played outside. Cooked dinner, bath time and now that they are in bed I have done the washing, ironing and dishes and now it's chill out time with yahoo! (and watching hubby sweat it out on the exercise bike!!!) Hope your day was a good one!!!

I work outside, it was 10*F here yesterday with 20 MPH winds, (LONG ISLAND) exposure time was no more than an hour at a time, it was VERY cold, even with ton's of clothes on, anything exposed (face, nose ears) even unexposed fingers were getting numb through gloves, when I got inside, I ate diner and fell asleep at 8 pm bundled in blankets, now I'm up for work again, it is 11*F and dark. I do like working outdoors though, and it's better than 100*F heat to work in.

Just nearing 12:30 am. My day was exhausting for the heat and humidity we are having. I usually have so much cr*p going on in my head that a simple 'Fine' or 'Good' is much easier to get away with. I'll tell my close friends and family honestly but it is generally just something polite to ask when you see someone rather than the asker being genuinely interested in your problems. I hope you had a good day!

My day was great. Started 5.30am took my daughter to swimming squad (half hour walk each way), then dropped her home picked up the baby walked another half hour to a pump exercise class then when finished had coffee with friends, then went grocery shopping & walked another 2km home in 36deg heat. I cooked dinner, washed up, cleaned the house, bathed the kids & now trying to get tired to go to bed as i've gotta get up for work at 5.30am tomorrow morning & it's 10.30pm now. That's it! Thanks for asking. By the way let us know how your day was & what you got up to.
