I'm living in Ireland, so this is all I could find on the net...check out links below. One is a fencing school and the second link is an online directory for Australia.

You can do a local search with yahoo or google to find better providers. Maybe ask your parents or guardians for help. They could know of some good local training centres.

AND.....If you need to use this service to ask questions in the future, please don't disclose your age...there are a lot of wierd and nasty people out there who will try to take advantage of your youth. (Sorry, I'm not trying to be bossy!)

Sport fencing (Olympic) would be fine for your age. In fact the earlier you start the better.
I've seen 12 year olds who had already been fencing for close to 4 years and were better than many adults.

You're in a major city so finding fencing classes shouldn't be hard. I would suggest going in and talking to the coaches and students. Fencing isn't what you see on TV shows.

what kind of fencing?

sport fencing would be ok, but I wouldnt' let him do any historical fencing or anything like that as it would involve training with and hitting and being hit with wooden weapons- that would be inappropriate.
