Your question says: "I'm having a British Passport". What passport do you have now?

All visitors to Canada require Visas, you can usually get a 3 month visitors visa when you arrive. Look up Canada High Consulate Visas on your search engine.

No. I have a UK passport and have not had to apply for a visa to travel to Canada. I assume you are talking about a visit and not staying put. Also you should have one of the newere passports with chevrons and can be read by computer.
