All violence has belief at its root. Beliefs that are not subject to rational analysis and criticism are particularly difficult for those of us who would like to try to prevent violence.

Political ideologies such as communism and facism use the threat of violence and force to protect themselves from criticism and analysis. It takes a lot of courage to confront this. Religions usually use brainwashing: it takes smarts and reason to confront these types of ideologies.

Islamo-facism uses a combination of brainwashing and violent threat. This makes it tricky.

at first glance i almost didnt see any difference.

but then i realized that Nazi Hitler Germany had not only an idealogy that was not religious but relgious at the same time.

so following the ideaology of a government, even both an athiest nationality and a humanist secular nationality can be separate and different than relgion. but then again, MONEY can be an ideaology by itself and men will believe in wealth to base a war on. So greed is an ideaology by itself too.

Ideology based is wider cause religion is part of ideology...

... so violence related to ideology can be religous or non-religous....

.... the outcome of both is the same... Chaeos... lack of compassion.... misery and deterioration of the human species.

Do you actually know what Darwinism means? Most terrorist acts are performed by people who supposedly follow Islam, and it's my understanding that Muslims don't believe in evolution. One thing you said is correct-- using the "cloak of religion" is false. Commiting violence in the name of religion, whatever that religion might be, is false, and those terrorists are not representative of their religion.
