I started a root canal about five months ago but it wasn't finished, I thin k I had to go back one more time for a final filling and/or a crown..

I had recently moved to Hawaii to go to school, and I forgot about it..

The hole is filled with something they put in, the last time I was there.

Is something bad going to happen to the tooth? Plaque, re-do root canal, etc....

Yeah I had forgot about it because I was multi-tasking WAY too much...

.....and they took forever to call me back, I had already left.

I would definitly look into having it finished. If the only step left is to put a permanent filling in its no big deal. But have it done before the temp falls out and anything enters the canal. Alot of dentists put a temp filling in for about a month after a root canal to make sure the treatment worked. However, if the work inside of the canal was not finished and you are in between treatments Id recommend having it done sooner then later before it reinfects.

Seriously think about having it finished. What the dentist filled it with is only temporary and even though you may not be having problems now - it may not always stay that way. Better save than sorry I reckon.

And how could you forget about it!!LOL I HATE THE DENTIST!

I am sure you will find another dentist to take care of your root canal treatment in Hawaii. Hope you enjoy your stay in Hawaii and may you find more friends there.
Take care and good luck to your studies. GOD BLESS !!!!!!
