Their VERY advanced, very expensive tires have a tread life on the scale of one hundred miles!

Dosen't sound a lot i know,but you must consider they spend most of there time in the air or parked!!

this is relative, for example, concordes' tyres didnt use to be so much lasting... any airplane's tyres might be lasting for 1 take-off and landing or 100, this is relative to the condition whether the tyres are harmed or not on the check reports of the controllers who check the airplane before each take-off...
