If he meant to be cruel than he is definately someone worth getting rid of immediately. But thats easier said than done. This girl should focus on the point of the relationship and what is good for her (a relationship involves two people, not one). One of the things she should consider is how she wants to be treated. If she isn't getting what she wants then she should call it quits. This guy clearly doesn't have any respect for their relationship. He is in control and knows it. Thats why he is being cruel, because he can get away with it.

a guy with no self esteem so the best thing he has going for him is the hope that she will find out and be sad and because she is so weak, she will put up with it and the guy will get a thrill because this must mean he is important, so important that he could treat someone like crap and they will still want him.

my ex had a tendency to do that. either he's really troubled, or he's confused and doesn't know where or what he's doing. give it time, or you'll find better
