The kids dont like to listen either. What do i charge them, they have been giving me 50 dollars a week but lately with buying food and juice till i get that bought i get left with 10 dollars. They got charged 50 dollars a day for day care. I dont think im being unreasonable to ask for a little more am i?

why dont you watch them in their house?? use their food! and there juice and there tv and use there stuff?? but if you dont have a ride to get there! then i say charge about 25-40 dollars aday! tell them how it is...be very straight forward and honest about your money situation and how you use all your food and stuff on them and its not fair to get 50$ a week when i was 12 i made 50$ a nite to babysit for like 3 hours

JEEZUS, I pay $230 a week at my next door neighbor's house, she is a LEGAL day care provider, she gives me a break because, we are neighbors, normal charge is $250 per kid, newborns are more $, she feeds them, I usually give my little guy Breakfast but, he eats lunch there, and I do all of the snow removal of her house w/ my snow blower before I go to work, cause her husband works 4-12 pm. There has not been much snow. A guy at work pays $330 a week at a local day care center for one 3 yr old child, my little guy is 4yrs old..

babysitting is a tough job, people think that is is so easy to stay home and take care of children all day/night. it is NOT. you deserve a payscale that is equal to any other person that is working. I would let them know that 50 a week is just not going to work for you anymore, i would at least ask for 25-30/day if they send their children their own food/snacks. If they appreciate a good sitter, and want their children safe, they will pay.

Most daycares charge a lot, like $10/hour. When I used to babysit I charged $30/day. If they have a problem with it, tell them they'd be paying more at a daycare.

$25/day and tell them they need to send you the food.

Why not go get a real job?
