Are you talking about Harilal Gandhi?

It's a very big ask that a revered or respected person (or a great soul) should be perfect in every way, or that his relationships should always be harmonious.

Mohendas Gandhi was a human being. A very fine human being, but not a god. A wise human being, but certainly not perfect.

It's good to understand that a person can be worthy of great respect, even if he is not perfect in every way.

Why should Gandhi be responsible about the philosophy or freedom of thought and choice of his son ?
What is wrong with Islam or any religion or philosophy for that matter? Isn't tolerance much better than blind prejudice?

I fail to see your point. Worse people have become fathers not only of their nation but fathers to empires. Read history. It's full of them and some of them are considered "greats. Alexander was probably not only involved but also suspected of being the master mind behind the murder of his brother. Peter the Great of Russia had his own son tortured and killed. When Suleiman the Magnificent came to power he got rid of all his brothers and close relatives that could have a claim on the throne. The pages of history are full of them. Read.

Maybe his son refused him. But Indians accepted him as the Father of the nation. Only RSS terrorists will not accept him, forget them, they are just a big ZERO in the world.

He is the "father" of the nation because he was instrumental in the "birth" of the independent Indian "nation".

Maybe he trully succeeded in teaching his son to have his own mind, and the courage to act on what he believes...even at the cost of disappointing his father.

We call Ghandi father of nation because of the way he lived his life and all he accomplished. Don't be bashing Ghandi .... can you say you did more, gave more to life than Ghandi? I think not.
