First of all he didnt DIE for our sins. He died because of our sins, trying to preach repentance.
and jesus would not have run away, because he knew it was the will of God
yawn, yes jesus could heat up a burrito so hot, but after he turned off the heat there wouldnt be a burrito left to eat

Well if that is the "truth" according to the simpsons and that same "truth" is being passed on by you..then we have a very sorry state of affairs.
People who choose to not know the real truth about Jesus..those who are honest and true and reasonable human beings..do not go around disrespecting Jesus in any way, shape or form....they know that he is the Saviour to many and they respect those people enough to not mock etc their Lord.
The others in here..such as yourself..have no real beliefs of your own so you have to try to dimiish other peoples beliefs etc.
It's called..NO MEANINGFUL LIFE that those people have.

Well why not?? The gospels that have not been approved by the church mention funnies like that. The Gospel of Thomas is full of anecdote of Jesus as a child being mischievous transforming his playmates into goats, or turning mud into sparrows or helping his father in carpentry by lengthening a piece of wood. Jesus sounds like David Copperfield. The Simpsons are just as good a source as Mathew or Thomas etc.

I already know the truth about Jesus Christ!
Jesus said, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me."
No, you're not on to something.

Scripture says he wanted to bolt so what did Jesus do?
He went on a little farther and bowed with his face to the ground, praying, "My Father! If it is possible, let this cup of suffering be taken away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine."
Matthew 26:39
When the soldiers came to arrest him and Peter took out a sword trying to take off a soldiers head with it, Jesus tells Peter, " Don't you realize that I could ask my Father for thousands of angels to protect us, and he would send them instantly? But if I did, how would the Scriptures be fulfilled that describe what must happen now?"Matthew 26:53-54
Even on the cross, He freely died for you and me. In his last moments he prays for those who crucified him...
Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they don't know what they are doing." Luke 23:34
And imagine... any moment he could've called down his angels to attend to him. That's love. He died in your place for your sins and mine.

Is this the level of your wisdom? Come into the deeper waters. You have missed the point. In Jesus name you can RECEIVE Gods Holy spirit, once you have it, then you will know. Go read john 3 and get that spirit! Then the truth you know, shall set you free!

come on.. use the intelligence you have to let things be.. Jesus was a man .. just like us a good man..He tried to help the world change and God granted him the ability to preform extra ordinary feats of divine healing and miracles at times but other than that he had a childhood a wife and mother and father brothers and sisters. living deity no.. just a man but a very good man .quit ragging him ok..did you know him or did you know enough about him to trash him..The bible says.. well the bible says alot of things some metaphors others factual but if you weren't there quit preaching and mocking what you don't know about .. just my opinion you ask so i replied

I don't think you're on to something at all, or if you are on something, you may want to not be on it. Sure Jesus knew he was going to suffer and die, and that's not a pleasant idea, but he put his own body aside and said "if not my will, but your will be done" to our Father in Heaven. I'd say that he wouldn't have cut and run, because the sheer awesomeness and meekness of Christ isn't that he was nailed to a cross to die for our sins, but that he didn't use his power to save himself from the cross and did die for our sins.

Yes. You're absolutely correct! It's about time we stopped beating about the bush and faced the fact that he was gay!
Little known fact: While dying on the cross, Jesus uttered unto the Lord: "When I get up there, you are gonna get the whippin' of a lifetime!"

Maybe jesus died for our sins but should we not stop sinning. He has already died and saved people upto his death, what about after his death, should we not stop sinning ? He can't definitely, know the future and save people coming after his death and sinning. even his death has made no difference, we are as bad as the romans who killed him, if not worse, what with iraq, iran, saddam, and nuclear war and I don't know what next ?
