First off, trim trim trim! Decide how long you want it to be then start from the top and work your way around. Its pretty simple :)

Sandra K has the right idea. It's so much easier to shave it all off. Which man is going to say, "Things could have been so much more romantic for us if you had left a landing strip down there."?

Shave everything except a line (any width you want) and trim.
