Both can be used to convey the same idea. "Right now, I am typing a response." Or "I am typing a response, at the moment." Both good. However, "right now" also works well at the end of a demand, whereas "at the moment" doesn't hold up very well, for such a purpose.

At the moment is not restricted to the present time, it can be at the moment.....of impact, or at the moment....of birth. At the moment can mean at this moment , meaning now, which is less urgent than right now.

"At the moment" is more passive; "Right now" is imperative. Ex: "Do this RIGHT NOW." vs: "At the moment I am busy."
