The Articles of Faith
of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

1.We believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost.
2.We believe that men will be punished for their own sins, and not for Adam's transgression.
3.We believe that through the Atonement of Christ, all mankind may be saved, by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel.
4.We believe that the first principles and ordinances of the Gospel are: first, Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; second, Repentance; third, Baptism by immersion for the remission of sins; fourth, Laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost.
5.We believe that a man must be called of God, by prophecy, and by the laying on of hands by those who are in authority, to preach the Gospel and administer in the ordinances thereof.
6.We believe in the same organization that existed in the Primitive Church, namely, apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers, evangelists, and so forth.

10.We believe in the literal gathering of Israel and in the restoration of the Ten Tribes; that Zion (the New Jerusalem) will be built upon the American continent; that Christ will reign personally upon the earth; and, that the earth will be renewed and receive its paradisiacal glory.

11.We claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may.

12.We believe in being subject to kings, presidents, rulers, and magistrates, in obeying, honoring, and sustaining the law.

13.We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul—We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.

The Articles of Faith are a set of beliefs so of course they are true. Doesn't mean everyone believes agrees with them.

I do not believe all are correct and I do not believe they go far enough with some things. I do not believe that the Book of Mormon is the Word Of God..too much of it sounds like certain parts in the bible but with names places etc changed. I believe that the mormon church can state those beliefs that you did as much as they like but they do not tell the whole truth..and Joseph smith was a false prophet. It is a case of what IS NOT in those statements of faith..like their belief that jesus and satan are "brothers".....there is too much in error.

What do you think of? in the event that they did have self assurance the bible grew to become into a hundred% genuine, they could have self assurance what it says. Then there could be no choose for a e book of mormon. lots for that one. What possibilities do you think of Joseph Smith could have had with out his bom? His could have been only yet another nineteenth century pop-up faith which practiced polygamy, believed human beings can exchange into gods and goddesses and could be worshiped, there's a line for each unexplained element interior the bible and he knew it... issues like that. human beings could have known it as in basic terms paganism in a sparkling gown, and skipped over it for the main section. (maximum did.) till of course those exterior the fringes of society had to do and have self assurance those issues. (Smith's purpose audience) they don't have confidence God. rather. No ask your self they're the main important non secular group which downs the main antidepressants interior the rustic, and have the optimal suicide value between their infants. Their god is a lot too small for their faith! he isn't as much as par, with all that consistent, upcoming opposition, having to disguise his spouse so he can get all the distinction, does not dare enable everyone else the marvelous to heaven or authority with out his say-so. he's likewise trotted out every time their church demands a social convenience, contained in this variety of "revelation", then he's positioned lower back interior the field they save him in till next time. That way they are able to manage him while they might desire to, and he won't exchange right into a humiliation by spouting issues he has no suited asserting with out checking with their head honcho first. God has no flaws. God has no might desire to make up thoughts to describe Himself. God in no way needed to describe Himself as a fashion to be believed. human beings believed in Him even before a bible grew to become into ever in existence. Theirs does require props, curiously.

There's a number of problems with these, and a big problem with the underlying and largely undeclared "truths" of the LDS faith.
