Paul argues it is not the "works of the law" (ie religious halachic observance) that makes one tsadiq (righteous). "Works of the law" has erroneously been interpreted to mean "works of the Torah", this is very misleading, one could then assume then that "works of Torah" are not required in Mashiyach. This would mean that it would be ok to steal, lie, commit adultery, and violate Torah because no one in Mashiyach is under the "works of Torah". But Paul is referring to the "Works of Tradition" and referring to those who trust in the "works of Tradition" to establish their righteousness, outside of Mashiyach. Righteousness comes about through Faith, Faith grows through learning and observing the things of YHWH, not the things of man's traditions. Many Christian denominations have developed their own "Christian laws" the names of many Christian denominations depicts important and unique doctrines of that organization.

Paul clearly took a beating from the Romans and the Jews for presenting Mashiyach to the world, but the beating he took back then, is nothing compared to the gang warfare against him today from false religion and Hellenized Christianity. Paul is a righteous Jew who worked with his own hands to support the Good News he brought to the world. Precious few Pastors, Professors, Rabbis or Clerics work with their own hands to financially support others while working to advance the Kingdom of Elohim. Precious few leaders support themselves financially without relying on regular donations from others. But it is these men in leadership, and their Hellenized institutions who have remade Paul into a Torahless soul like they themselves.

Paul never heard the word "Justification" in his life, today "Justification" has become a foundational doctrine of Christianity. Justification has become a religious license for millions to live carnal, unfaithful lives under the label of a "Christian". You can be sure Paul was not living as a carnal man, you can also be certain the laggards who remade Paul into a Hellenist are living carnal lives and teaching others to do the same. Why not consider to live like Paul the Apostle, who observed the Shabbat and the Moedim, and sanctified the Word of YHWH in his life. Whether Jew or Gentile, we are called in one hope to live as our Master lived, Yeshua and all who walk in Him will honor His Word and let the Holy Spirit write Torah upon our hearts!

YHWH be with you,

Shalom U'Vrachot,

David

YWYH, I repent for abusing the "grace" the apotle spoke of. I rebuke this teaching that promotes us to live horrible lives and break the Law.

I will walk in your way, not by my might but by the Ruach HaKodesh in Yeshua...with your Shalom.

Love David

Wow, what an epic.
Guess your basically arguing Works versus Grace.
Galations is called the magnacata (spelt wrong I'm sure) for the christain "for it is but by Grace we stand."
Grace abuse is rather rampent in some groups.
So is Law abuse

If Romans 7 is a demonstration of Paul's memories, and not in any respect only a theological treatise, then Romans 8 is likewise a demonstration of Paul's memories. Romans 8 comes AFTER Romans 7 both interior the e book, besides as in his existence. all of us opt to flow on to Romans 8 in our own lives, besides, eh?

I believe that when Paul mentioned that we re not made righteous because of the torah he means we re not righteous because of the good that we do but we're made righteous by grace alone. Doing a good deed doesn't save our soul. Trusting in Christ does. And when we trust in christ we ahve to live in His laws and thats where there two reconcile. We are not made righteous by our works but Christ and because of that we do good works to live out the Christ that is in us. God bless U.

Paul knew justification see Rom 3:24 'being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus' and also Gal 2:15.

Grace never condones sin but conquers it see Rom 5:17 'For if by one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who received the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ'.
and Rom 6:14 'For sin shall not dominion over you, for you are not under the law but under grace'.

Paul taught that our righteousness is a gift of God's righteousness that we received by faith in Christ (2 Cor 5:21) and not by our own obedience to the law of Moses (Phil 3:9). And see Gal 2:21 'I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died in vain'.

We all can come boldly to the Father's throne of grace by grace and grace alone (Heb4:16).

Bear in mind John 1:17 For the law was given through Moses , but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. Disciples of Christ walk in grace and truth and not under the law.

Paul' desire was all Christians walk in the Spirit so that they do not fulfill the lust of the flesh (Gal 5:16) and be led by the Spirit so that they are not under the law (Gal 5:18).

All the above speaks ONLY about our vertical relationship with God and we are called to be 'in Jesus" to do this.

In our horizontal relationship with others obedience to the law of Moses regarding our relationship with one another is still useful. In relating to one another we are to be like Jesus which requires us to put off our old man and live the new creatiom man in Christ (2 Cor 5:17 and Gal 2:20)
