Does oil and water mix? No. Will God and the Devil agree? No. Why? Because God is Holy and the Devil is not. You're a child of God not the Devil. You're a child of God not of the world. That's why the Bible says when you're born again He took you out of the world, behold old things have passed and new things are....if you know the Bible you'd agree. And so you're a new creature in the eyes of God. The moment you became born again you were supposed to leave your sinful behaviour behind.
You may go to church and Bible school but honestly that means nothing as long you listen to the Devil. How do you listen to the Devil? He tells you to listen to rock n roll and he tells you there is nothing wrong with it. He is wrong. Don't forget the devil is here to steal, kill and destroy. He's stealing the word of God from you and before you know it he has killed and destroyed your faith.
Rock n roll is not music to be listened to by God's children because that music is inspired by the Devil (I know the atheists and the rest that think music is just music will not agree with me but the fact stands), that music is perveted, and offensive to God and they just insult God. God wants you to listen to music that glorifies him, music that praises him and believe me rock n roll does not glorify God in any way.
As for your dressing, I think you're just on your way to the dark side cause you said you started liking it recently, which means you haven't been dressing like that before. I'm not saying that there is anything wrong with wearing black but just examine why you act and dress the way you do. Be careful the Devil is very cunning and decietful. May God bless you.

I do not know what emo stuff is and your expression of cut yourself means. I do know the bible says watch what you put before you eyes, whicn literally means in the original language be careful what you put before your eyes. Also when you received Jesus into your life your life should of changed. Do you read the bible? It says we are to renew our minds, when you spend time listening to music that does not glorify the Lord and keep on doing so you will eventually be pulled back into sin. The bible also
says we are to fellowship with other believers. Also get yourself a prayer partner. Ask Jesus what He wants you to do? Sometimes when we ask a question, we know already what the answer is, He will reveal it to you either by your conscience or by an inner witness in your spirit.
Who ever you spend time with you will become like. As far as the black clothing there is nothing wrong with wearing black as long as it isn't loaded down with chains and spikes and things that some of the rock bands wear. You are a new creature in Christ Jesus so our desires will change if we let them. God will never take away anything from us without giving us something far better. He loves us, and knows what is best for us. It is a lifestyle, and we need to grow in the knowledge of the one who died for us, so we could live with Him forever & ever. God is a God of color, just look around you at all the beautiful colors in creation. I like to wear colorful clothes and I also wear black. There are some great christian programs on the web that you can watch and listen to, for all ages.

I think if you want to wear black ok. If you want to listen to that music ok. But you obviously realize there is darker stuff out there, and maybe people you associate do it. And that is a slippery slope. It is easy to slip and start heading in a bad direction, so I would just ask you to really step back and look around. Only you know the truth of the situation. So, look around. Is this where you need to be?
You can wear what you want and listen to music without immersing yourself in that culture. You can be an individual, not part of the pack. God loves you for who you are, but the devil is real, and he never says "hey look at this pit of sin and devestation I have set up for you." It starts little. It can start from something you meant for good. So be on guard against it.
Study, continue going to church, pray, look toward God. Listen to your music, wear what you like, that is ok, as long as your focus stays on God. And if there is a little voice inside you setting off an alarm, listen, the Holy Spirit came inside you the day you accepted Christ. It is His job to lead you on the right path and warn you when you stray, and He does his job faithfully. It is always your choice whether you listen.
Blessings.

Personally, I don't see anything wrong with Gorillaz, Green Day or your choice of fashion. What concerns me is why you say you need help. Do you feel unable to discern for yourself what is right or wrong? As a Christian of 4 years, you should be mature enough to do that.
Read James 1: 5-8. And pray for wisdom to know what things you should and should not be doing. That is the best help I can give you. God Bless.

No color is sinful. Wearing black is fine. As far as the music, I wouldn't condemn it because I have two Green Day CDs myself though I don't listen to them because Christian rock bands are far better...... Just so long as you know what is advancing the gospel and strengthening your faith. If a certain color or band is destroying your faith, then it is best to get rid of those things that separate you and God. If you are worried about it, it is best to avoid those things.

A Christian is forbidden to pass to warfare, for any reason: Math Ch 5 Vs 38-40 8 Math Ch 5 Vs 9 So referred to as Christians will %. and choose what they pick to trust. as an social gathering, someone will say they're professional-existence , yet will count number on Capital Punishment. Christians come below the hot covenent, therefore "a watch for a watch"does no longer practice to them. Jesus forgave the lady that change into to be stoned, declaring" allow he who's without sin, solid the first stone." So who's freed from sin that they could act as executioner. the area of keep in ideas is that being a real Christian is extremely confusing. If some one needs to count number on warfare, Capital Punishment, abortion, this is wonderful, do exactly no longer faux to be a Christian. " The Lord basically isn't mocked" i'm an atheist, yet i do no longer count number on warfare, demise penalty, and unnecessary abortions.

Understand that all things are permissible but not all things profitable. It is not wrong to feel emotional but what are your emotions triggered by? Whenever we endulge ourselves in all thing, in this case rock music, we have to ask what spiritual roots or attribute are these activities built upoon. Spiritual attributes that rock is built are hate, violence and anger. Thus as you listen to more of these thats what you ll harness in your heart. A fair way to show that is after listening to say fifteen minutes of rock music can you still bring yourself to pray calmly? Do you find yourself being more rude and short tempered towards others inculding your parents before or after listening to these music? This is how i see it all the best to you :)

God wants people to trust Him. He wants people to trust him no matter what kind of music they listen to, or what color they wear.
Don't make this difficult to understand.
If whatever is drawing you into EMO stuff is going to make you forget God, then don't do it. So not become distracted or a slave to something else. You belong to God IF you are really a Christian. Keep it that way. If you can get into that stuff, then do it and enjoy yourself. But when it comes to the things of God- do them. ( ;

You need to be careful.Does it glorify violence or things contrary to Christ ? If so,it would be better not to listen to it or do those things.I personally know someone who started out listening to that type of music, then started cutting, getting into gothic things, and he became very depressed and nearly commited suicide.

christianity is about your faith. what is in your heart is what would matter to the Lord. Listening to secular music or wearing something you thionk is wrong is not a taboo for christians. But if you know that you really love JESUS and your faith in HIM is strong then your okay! ;-)
