1. Find a very inexpensive little device called a bio-feedback that
simply slips around the finger. It makes a varying sound that
is high pitched when you are anxious & slows down to slower
clicking noise as you relax. When you are waiting the day of
the tests you should be able to totally relax by listening to the
pitch. WHEN YOU ARE THE LEAST ANXIOUS THE
CLICKING WILL CEASE ALTOGETHER. You learn to relax
more & more as your brain & body learn to automatically try
to shut down the noise. It works and it is very inexpensive
You are doing the same thing that medical practitioners do
with accompanying costs & added anxiety about another
medical entry into some medical data collection database.
Their machines are more sophisticated looking but do
EXACTLY what you can do yourself at any time, anyplace.
Radio Shack had a very good one but has quit selling them.
Check pharmacists for info. It requires no prescription.
2. DRUGS. VALIUM IS THE OLD STANDARD TRANQUILIZER
LONGER LASTING BUT HAS MORE STUPOROUS
EFFECT. (Sleepiness). Your Anesthesis or Physician will
want to know depending on what kind of test you are
Taking.
3. DRUGS: ATIVAN or GENERIC LOREZAPAM is an
ANTI-ANXIETY or PANIC ATTACK MODERATOR.
WORKS FASTER but has a shorter half life.
BOTH ARE CONTROLLED DRUGS THAT CAN BE ADDICTIVE
BUT IF YOU'RE PANIC IS SEVERE. YOU MUST BE IN CONTROL OF YOUR MEDICAL TREATMENT. PHYSICIANS HAVE TO BE TOLD THAT STRESS CAN KILL.
I have dealt with a slowly advancing neurological disease for 16 years & just found out this week after months of MRIs MRAs
EKGs, STRESS TESTS, that I have reached the next final slow painful progressive stage. Needless to say, I have had enormous experience with different doctors to adjust medications & combinations that have kept me going.
Look for any single small thing that you see on any day regardless of how bad a day & make a point to take note of it in your mind. Even if its just a pretty flower a neighbor put out, or a funny thing that an associate or friend did that for a second you laughed at. Add one single memory each day and without realizing it you will find yourself with a growing number of positive experiences that you will then find yourself looking at positve things that give you something permanent in your mind that has a little by little offset against the anxiety & stress.

It is easy to say think positive but do not give up no matter how many setbacks.
I hope that is helpful. It will only help you if you want it to.
GOOD LUCK & BEST WISHES

The number one thing that u can do is get atleast 8 or 9 hours of sleep the night before, and eat a very good breakfast that morning. Take a couple tylenols that morning too, b/c if its an imporant test, all day you are going to be thinkin about it and u will be sure to get a stress headache. Good Luck on the test.
P.S What kind of test is it?

45 Mins exercise before testing. Although you want to complete this at least 3 hours before testing. Eat foods that are low in sugars, including natural sugars. Avoid caffeine and any stimulants such as smoking. Drugs are not a good idea as they may affect your mental state.

I suffer with anxiety also.
I heard eating Bananas is good for anxiety, so I tried it.
And it does help.
If my anxiety is off the walls, I take xanax.
You might try relaxation tapes, techniques.
Breath slowly in your nose and ex hail slowly out your mouth if you feel the anxiety creeping on you.
Good luck!

assalam o alikum,
brother i suggest u not to take this on ur nerve. and do not over pressure urself with the winning. because that is destiny to decide. what is in our hands is to do effort whole-heartedly. insha Allah (God's will) if that is ur destiny u will surely acheive this.
i dont know what kind of test u r going to take, but remember one thing that victory is not important, the important is how much u r learning, and this is most important in my opinion
anxiety can only be removed with positive thoughts. so start thinking positive and dont overwhelm urself with results. focus on strategy.
about food u can take those foods which activate ur mind, like protein or vitamins etc. fresh juices will b good idea. i love them alot.
also dont forget to ask Allah (God) to help u to acheive the goal, ameen
wish u all the best

Drink herbs. Chamomile, green tea or sth.
Buy yourself a book about herbs and discover which are soothing and relaxing.

no food will help and no pills help that arent prescribed by a doctor, and those would fog your mind and make things worse , just study and get ready for the test.
