I'm shy at first, so it's hard for me to meet women?

Question

What are some things for me to talk about to women that I approach for the first time so I don't look like an idiot all the time? Also, if I do happen to score the date, then what are some things to talk about to at least let her know I'm into her?

try and talk to the woman about the current events, movies, art, sports, politics, schools-colleges and majors, anything basically. or if you see them reading a certain book you know or so, walk up and introduce yourself and then start to talk about the book and if she is interested in you, you will come out with a date. you can't and i repeat CAN'T ask out a girl first, you will freak her out. you need to have a flowing conversation with her first. and don't be like those creepy guys that talk sexual stuff its scary, not saying that you're like that but I'm just saying.
and if you do score a date talk a little about a part of your past like your favorite sport you play, music-guitar, etc. or ask her what is her favorite things to do, favorite month, favorite color (important!), what books she likes,etc.
don't start talking about something like cars unless the female its very interested, and that goes for politics too.

Ok, well as a woman I know that I like a guy to seem confident when he talks to me!!! So, you got to be confident and don't worry about saying the wrong thing. If your constantly worried about saying the wrong thing, then nine times out of ten you will! When you first notice a woman, take a good look at her first before you approach her!!! Make sure she is available, not wearing a ring, and take notice in what she doing!!! Women like the first meeting to be unique and you want to make it to where she remembers you!! Ok what to say, exchange names, tell her what you like to do and ask her a few harmless questions!! And before you leave her slip your number to her or ask her for hers or say I was thinking of going ( a concert, restaurant, show, etc.) and would love for you to join me!! Now when you are on a date, make sure not to talk about your self to much, like your bragging!!! Joke around and make her laugh!! Ask her questions like what she likes and what she don't like and let her know your interested!!! Be polite, be a gentlemen, and more importantly be your self!!!
