Seriously, if you pick a standard name - Elizabeth, Diana Marie, Margaret - and say it is a favorite aunt, you can't go wrong.

Is there a story behind your name? Why were you given that name? Sometimes knowing the reason why you were given a certain name makes it a treasure.

A name is about who you are, and what you mean to the people in your life. Have you talked to the people around you? They may think Vanessa is a beautiful name, and perfect for you! If you are unhappy with your name, perhaps you are really unhappy with your life and need to discover why you feel you need the change. A new name won't change old feelings.

I have a cousin who legally changed her name from Edith to Elizabeth, because she hated it so much. There are so many really pretty names for females, but be sure to use a middle name that is not lame, like Marie, or Ann, or Lynn. If you're going to do it legally, make it something regal!

Best wishes.

Personally, I like the the name Vanessa. But if you don't like it, it's your call. There are innumerable books of names available; I'd get one and start reading.

Miley Ray Cyrus sounds better than Destiny Hope does. Miley fits her more better than Destiny Hope does. I see nothing wrong with Miley changing her name at all. No big deal.
