English is important as it is a language spoke by most of the ppl in the world...in malaysia too, we need english to communicate with tourist, foreigner, foreign investors and many more, not only economic used but also for communication and political purposes

-english newspaper cheaper than malay newspaper
-most job interviews conducted in english language
-english language is important if you want to speak with tourist
-most technical manual written in english
