I am a Beauty Therapist and I have a few clients who have this done- plus I do it myself (I'm 21 and have darkish hair there).
I prefer just to wax this area, it is quick and easy and the hair should take about 4 weeks to grow back. I have waxed mine only 3 times and yet the hair has already thinned right down. But just to let you know it does feel like you have been punched in the face immediately after, if possible try and apply an ice cube as soon as possible following the waxing, this will cool the area down.

This area can become a bit itchy a couple of days afterwards so just make sure that you continue to cleanse, exfoliate and moisturise to prevent any pimples and dryness

"Permanent" Methods
======================
If you're seeking permanent hair removal, you have several imperfect options. A number of methods have been developed that use chemicals, energy of varying types, or a combination to target the areas that regulate hair growth. Permanently destroying these areas while sparing surrounding tissue is a difficult challenge. I recommend relying on a body of published, peer-reviewed scientific evidence to ensure the effectiveness of a method.

Permanent hair removal for most (only if done correctly)

1)Electrolysis

Permanent hair reduction for some (primarily consumers with dark hair)

1)Laser

2)Flashlamp

Lasting hair inhibition for many (requires continuous use)

1)Prescription oral medications

2)Prescription topical preparation (Vaniqa)

Restricted methods

1)X-ray (banned in the United States)

2)Photodynamic therapy (experimental)

Doubtful methods

1)Electric tweezers

2)"Transdermal electrolysis"

3)"Transcutaneous hair removal"

4)Photoepilators

5)Microwaves

6)Dietary supplements

7)Nonprescription topical preparations ("hair inhibitors")

No method is 100% effective in all clients
All methods have some clients who do not seem to respond to treatment. The reason is unknown, and the exact percentages are not established.Laser clinical results are still widely variable in the published literature, with long-term response rates from 0% to 100%, depending on the study.

Temporary hair removal
=====================
Temporary hair removal can be achieved through depilation (removing part of the hair above the skin's surface) or epilation (removing the entire hair). For many consumers, temporary methods at regular intervals are acceptable. Right now my focus is on devices claiming permanence, but I'll be discussing temporary methods in the future.

Depilation lasting several hours to several days can be achieved by:

1)Shaving or trimming (manually or with electric shavers)

2)Depilatories (creams or "shaving powders" which chemically dissolve hair)

3)Friction (rough surfaces used to buff away hair)

Epilation lasting several days to several weeks can be achieved by:

1)Tweezing

2)Waxing (a hot or cold layer is applied and then removed with porous strips)

3)Sugaring (similar to waxing, but with a sticky paste)

4)Threading (also called fatlah or khite, in which a twisted thread catches hairs as it's rolled across the skin)

5)Rotary epilators (devices which rapidly grasp hairs and pull them out by the root)

Bleaching is an easy, safe option but be careful because it can cause irritation. The other options are laser treatment, electrolysis or waxing.
