I had a boyfriend last year but we (mutually) broke up and aren't friends although we "see" each other once a week because his work correlates with the company I work for, plus he gets his paycheck there. Today he told me that I "really looked nice" and that it was "really great to see me again" even though he only saw me a few days before. He acted as if he hadn't seen me for a month. I don't wanna overanalyze but I wanna hear your opinion.

Maybe he was just being nice. Perhaps he wants to get back together when the time is right and misses you too. Only time will tell. I dont know the reasons of the breakup, but you should question him about it too. It might have just been a compliment.

Maybe he did think that you looked really nice today. But if he was that excited about seeing you I would be willing to bet that he is feeling out the situations to see if you are interested in him.

when people say compliments to other people it makes them feel good. try it yourself - say compliment to someone. this is what he was doing - telling compliments to u to feel better himself. also i would suggest u look closely to the mirror now and be truthful with yourself - do u look that good? cos some people also get pleasure telling others they look good when in reality thee look bad. they have a kick out of it, i really don't understand why, dispicable perverts. anyway, i would suggest next time u tell him " thanks, i do have eyes"
