I'm 22 and I've had a dull aching pain in both my knees off and on for the last 2 months but it seems to be more frequently lately. Its seem to be worse when I'm sitting. Does anybody have an idea of what this could be? I plan on seeing a doctor soon if it doesn't get any better

I had similar (if not the same) thing happen to my knees a few years ago. Just started all of a sudden on one knee and then within a month the other one was hurting too. I was only 25 at the time and had real trouble climbing stairs and sitting for long periods (more than a few minutes) with my knees bent. I would find relief only when my knees were straight. The pain would wake me up at night if I bent my knees in my sleep.

My doctor tried nearly every pain killer and anti-inflammatory he could with no change. After nearly 2 years I was becoming desparate, plus I had my wedding coming up and I was dreading having to kneel during the ceremony and then trying to get back up. I felt 80 years old! Finally I decided to see if a chiropractor could help, I didn't think so because I always thought they were a little ... funny.

He said he could help and after 3 visits in just a week the pain was completely GONE. All of it! I am a firm believer in chiro's now and I recommend that you try them first. No drugs just fixing something that has slid out of place.

Not all chiro's twist and tug to get things back in place. Some, and these are the ones I recommend, use a "clicker" (I don't think that is the actual term but that is the noise it makes) that realigns things with gentle taps. Try it, it really works!

See a Doctor quick, it may be arthritis which is bad, or aggressive forms like rheumatoid arthritis. Get some good advice, it is worth it. I had pain in my knees since 1995 and then in 2006 had a torn minniscus fixed in my knee and they found early arthritis.
I ended up retiring from a job I really loved, so do something before things get bad...
