first , you don't force God to give you an answer your way, he'll give it to you his way...you need you learn some patience...and i say since you don't seem to have any ,your answer will probably take a while..but you never know...if you ask him...in a sincere manner.....and go some where that's quiet, you probably play music all the time even when you sleep...you can't hear God if your head is full of noise....if you've never heard God's voice you may be a while getting the answer...his voice is not loud..so get some where quite and pray. If you've never prayed
email me and I'll help you

If it were possible to get a direct answer from God, then there would be no doubt about his existence and the problems of the world would have been solved long ago. Sorry, but even if God exists, it can't be done.
(Or you could just ask Pat Robertson. He has two-way conversations with God all the time. As do many residents of mental hospitals.)

No one can give you a satisfactory answer to this question because God speaks when He wants to and not because we do certain things. You cannot make God move by your own works.
Another reason you will not be satisfied with an answer is because first you must obey what He has commanded, before you can have any kind of intimate relationship with Him. The best thing you can be told is, look at His commandments, obey them, and if He choses, He will reveal Himself to you by grace. That is the truth, but you won't like it.
Jam 4:3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.
1Jo 3:22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
Yahweh will converse with you, but it is on His terms and not our own. You have to humble yourself and respect His authority.

Personally I do not worship any - so I am only working with second hand accounts - but as far as I can tell the kind of experience you are seeking is either the result of pushing yourself to your physical limits (ie fasting and praying for 40 days and 40 nights) or it happens at the whim of the Divine.

Sometimes God's answer to us is unheard, Sometimes when I pray I just know the answer other times I have to wait. Most times I have to wait. I have found that Jesus' voice is like a whisper & very easy to ignore, you may already know the answer to your question but it isn't the answer you want. I feel that if the answers you get are forceful & demanding then it is not from God.

Well, I did have some potential ways... but since you say you don't want a "long drawn out useless answer", I'm guessing that's code for "Don't give me anything hard or complicated, because I just can't be bothered to do the work." I wish you the best of luck, but I'm not sure how far you're going to get.

God does not desire to give you signs, sweetie. He wants a relationship with you. He knows you. He wants you to talk to Him about the issue at hand.
The Bible is called God's Word because it's just that... take time to be still and listen to Him by reading His Word... see what He's about.
If you talk to God, it's called prayer... have a sincere heart, He'll hear you and answer what you need to know. It may not be what you want to hear but He'll tell you what you need to know.
In turn, don't neglect him. Continue to talk to Him. He wants to be involved in your life and wants you involved with His.

I think the whole world needs God to answer them directly but it has never been known to happen other than to moses. Maybe he will choose you but I wouldn't count on it. Ask, hope and wait and see, it is all you can do.

Your question arose from within you, so the answer also lies within you. You can not find a right answer from the external world. Even if the answer comes from the outside, it will not stand for long. You are satisfied with the answer only when it comes from within. That would be the right answer. Seers did not search in the outside world for their answers. All the seers and prophets searched within themselves and found the answers. Buddha went to hundreds of religious personalities in his time to get the answers for his questions. Vexed, he stopped asking others and at last sat at one place, took a deep dive within himself and got answers to all his questions. He always told his disciples not to believe his words but to find the truth in them by themselves.
So sit somewhere, put your question to yourself and dive deep into yourself. You will indeed get answers to all your questions. The only thing you need to know is how to dive into yourself! If you master that art, then there will be no questions!!
