well, if the lock had the same amount of numbers, example: 01,24,16,17,37+19 (this is how mega millions does it) if a bike lock had the same thing and you tried it twice a week (like playing the lottery twice a week) it would be the same chance.

You're not buying the lottery ticket because you actually believe you have a bona fide chance of winning.
