I don't know what it's called, but I'm gonna call them flashbacks hehe.
it's like a picture comes to my mind, a picture of the past, sometimes sad sometimes happy, sometimes just a picture of a street or like a picture of me and my friends when I was in 7th grade or something. I know it's normal to have this, but for the past few months I've been having it a lot, like 7 or 10 times a day. Why am I having this? what causes it?.
by the way, I was taking anti-depressants and anti-anxiety prescribed by the doc, I stopped taking them now, but I thought it might be the reason why I'm having this kind of "flashbacks".

This does not have anything to do with taking anti-depressants. I get these all the time also. I have moved to another city and i am home sick for the good times i used to have. one way to cure something like this is to get a hobby that will keep you busy and you will have less of these flashback. There is nothing wrong with reminiscing.

Hi Dr., Something deep down inside of you, for some reason you have depressed it. Something about when you were in the 7th grade. Think hard, and long, and see if you can remember anything that might of happen to you. These so called flashbacks,is trying to bring something to the surface. I hope you find out what it is,so you can move on. A Friend.

Why are you asking people on line? None of the answers given are from doctors or psychiatrists, or even psychologists. You went to a doctor to get a prescription for anti-depressants and anti-anxiety medication...The doctor obviously wouldn't have given them to you if you didn't need them. Did the doctor tell you to discontinue their use?
The term "flashback" typically refers to reoccurring chemically induced episodes of people who have taken L.S.D., not
memories.

You know what? I think that you are right about the anti-depressants and other pills causing the flashbacks.... take a look at these two sites:

You are probably right ,It is the chemistry of the brain getting back to normal .Things should calm down in about a week .
Enjoy the memories :) You need to get a hobby or maybe a job would help if you don't have one .
