[1] Fruits and Vegetables - Maggots, worms
[2] Fast Food - Frozen Nail, hair, foil, metal shaving, spit, baby spiders, adult spiders, cockroach, a bite mark, a fly, dirt

About 20 years ago I used to LOVE Dinty Moore beef stew--until the time I found a piece of hide with hair still attached (from the cow I guess.) Never ate it again. When I was a kid I found a small white feather in my chicken noodle soup. Have never eaten that again either. In fact, I don't eat much meat at all.

Compared to everyone else's, I guess my stories aren't that bad (although they didn't even happen to me). At a Cookie Corner, my friend was getting a cup of water when I noticed something brown in her cup. It was a wing. Her lucky sister had the rest of the bug in her drink. At Anna Miller's, another friend found leaves in her meal.
And about the whole bedbugs being microscopic thing, that's true, but they don't stay microscopic forever. If they're large enough to be seen with the naked eye, that means they've sucked up enough blood to do so. Trust me, I've killed many.

I didn't find it, but I did watch one of our cooks put a "special burrito" for the owner's sister of a restaurant I worked at in Jr. High School.
She wasn't a very nice person (understatement of the century) and he took a nasty white towel that they used to cleaning the filthy grill and wrapped it up in a tortilla, put cheese, chili and sauce on it and sent it out the door with Anna when she left work.
Needless to say, she wasn't very happy when a few bites into her "special" she discovered what had happened.
If she wasn't such a horrible person we would've told her before she took it home, but... she was ruthless so we were too.
Funniest thing I ever saw at work and that was in 1978!

Greenfly in lettuce.In hosp canteen.
We were given a box of Cadbury flakes by a patient who was leaving the ward, I got the one with a large curly black hair in it.
Piece of washing upcloth in a McVities biscuit.

When I left school (twenty years ago) I trained as a chef, one particular day I was slicing some carrots on a mandolin, like a fool I thought that I could use it without the guard and you guessed it I sliced off the tips of my middle three fingers. However my boss was in a rush for these carrots, and rather than standing there for a further twenty odd minutes trying to fish out the tips of my fingers I sent them to be cooked.
anyone who had carrots that night got a little more protein than they bargained for.

Hi Soren,
A bandage would be pretty bad!
The 'grossest' thing I have found is hair.

It isn't horribly gross, but I found a dime in a Red Hot burrito. I was glad I found it before I swallowed it... I kind of had to laugh and told my brother "that's an unusual way to give a rebate on a food product."

I found a BIG FAT FLY in my special fried rice a few years back....!! Never got a take-away from there again - and reported them to the food and hygiene at the local council...! Yuuuuck!
