Hi I have chemically straightened/relaxed hair. I get it done at a salon and they use a product called Makaritzo ( or something like that ). I am wondering if I can lighten my normally dark hair as in from dark brown to medium to honey brown (nicole richie look) without damaging it to the point of breakage. At the moment it is in great condition however I am in the mood for a colour change and I cant go much darker than what it already is so I want to go lighter but SAFELY. Please help me - Thanks in advance!

You can color your hair 7-10 days & 1 shampoo after a chemical service but there is no guarantee that your hair will not be damaged by an additional chemical process. The lighter you color your hair the dryer it has the tendency to be and thus requires more care. You'll have to deep condition, do hot oil treatments and protein treatments as needed to ensure that your hair remains in an optimum state. The safest thing to do is to go for a demi-permanent or semi-permanent but if you're ready for a permanent change then make sure your stylist knows what they're doing and has recommendations for the care of your hair as well. Good Luck!

In this situation I'd go with a weave cause you might not like the outcome of such a change... at least with a weave you can take it out and your hair will still be there with no chemical damages.

ofcourse you coudl lighten your hair even after rebonding, but your have to used good brand like loreal maji ionene color, or use loreal platinum to bleach hair, which much more easier and would damaged your hair as others bleaching powder. Try to make it after atleast 1 week, woudl be better for your hair to relax from chemical.

Yes you can. You will have to wait 12-14 days after you relaxed your hair before apply a haircolor to it.

NO. Your hair will fry off. If you know what an over cooked ramen noodle looks like, that is what your hair will look like, and it will pull off. Do not do that.
