Lazarus is an old fashioned name. He was a friend of Jesus... etc. I don't need to tell you the same story again. :)

We have many biblical names that people still use. I would go with Nickolay, very original spelling of Russian saint's name. :)

Try to say a name together with a last name. How does it sound? Guys have to live with they last names for the rest of they lives...lol

One of my friends loves Richie Blackmore from Deep Purple and she named her son Rirchard. But since his last and middle names are Ukrainian it sounded pretty dorky: Richard Yevgenyevich Pogorilyi. Poor kid was teased at school so bad.

My son's name is Nickolay and here in US he go's by Nick - universal. :)
Yes kids will grow up, but you have to choose the name wisely do not make they life at school miserable.

I hope this will help. Good luck.

Lazarus was a good friend of Jesus, who died and Jesus brought him back to life. It is a nice and original name. Plus, you don't have to think if the name is Ok for a "child", because the child will grow to be an adult. Just think if you like the name.

If your child school with an alphabetically sorted absent. Then it's a good idea cause the first turn it's an awful one. What i heard, it comes from a myth where someone is brought back to life after he/she dead. Oooooo..... Scary...

You might like this name but think of the child, he'll be teased like crazy in school and will later need therapy!

According to bible myth, he rose from the dead after being cursed with leprosy. I'd steer clear from that name dear.
