The truthful and best answer is this:

An Honorable Discharge after your service time is up.

Seriously, 10 years after you are out you'll look back in amazement at how short a time that was. And you'll be proud of it, and people will look up to you.

You do the wrong thing here and it will be hell on earth for the rest of your life.

You heard right. If you're in Family Advocacy and you fail the program you're out. Just march into your next meeting or counseling session and tell them you're not going to play the game anymore.

You'll see how fast things can work.

I'm absolutely amazed that so many people posted who don't know a thing about the Family Advocacy Program.

I looked at The Family Advocacy Act and I don't see how it applies to you.Anyway ,anything less than a honorable or medical discharge won't go favorably when your job hunting. If you quit the Navy after taking an oath, what kind of employee would you be.We all do things in our life we would rather not do.Standing on the tarmac for 12 hours guarding aircraft is not my idea of fun but it's part of the job.Suck it up and stick it out.

An Admin Sep is the easiest, fastest, and painless way out of the Navy. I’ve seen them take less then a week to do all the paperwork and it really doesn’t look bad on your record. The pretend to be gay thing is stupid, The faking a medical problem would be hard to pull off, and the drugs would earn you a Other than Honorable.

When I was in, the fastest ways out were:

1. Smoke a joint. But I would highly recomend against that, since it will follow you forever an may get you in the brig,(not to mention bad for you).

2. Tell the Captain your gay. It's a guaranteed out if your a good liar, but it will follow you as well (and lying ain't good for a soul either).

3. Best option: Go talk to the Chaplain, tell him you need help, listen to the advice he offers and just wait awhile. Things always get better. I was in for 7 years, the first year was the roughest. After that it was up and down, but man were the ups a good time. Just wait for your next duty station, you won't be in the same spot forever. Chances are in a little while you'll be having some serious fun making the best friends of your life and doing things no one else on the planet gets to do. I know you're hurting now (I've been there, trust me), but things ALWAYS get better eventually. Good luck swabee.

Easy, fast, and painless, huh? Well... take a lot of painkillers and shot yourself in the foot. That's fast, but it's not easy or painless.

My husband is being medboarded out of the army right now because he has a hip injury. It snaps everytime he walks, but they can't find anything on any of the bone scans.

You could try faking an injury, but that could have bad repurcussions. Take after Watada and start war bashing... that'll get you some attention, at least. I don't know what to tell you. How much longer is your contract for? What's your rank? Do you even have a family to help you qualify for FAF? More details and I could help you more.

Do your hitch like you signed up to do, suck up the hard times, and be discharged with an honorable discharge that won't come back to haunt you later.

If you'r expecting any help from here to get you out of your committment, sorry, you won't get it. If you didn't think you were going to like the Navy, you should have stayed a civilian.

Now go be an adult, fulfill your obligations, and then get on with your life. Quit whining and looking for the cheap and easy way out - there isn't one.

I've not heard of it as such, but I do know that the reason inherent with the name of what ya mentioned IS something you can be dismissed for. It'll not look good for you, but won't be as bad as a dishonorable, or bad conduct. It'll all depend on the details laid out in your DD-214.
Easiest and most painless? Dunno for SURE, and it was in Army context, but a medic buddy of mine once said that if you admit to having sleep-walked as a child, it's an "auto-out". Reason being that one who'se done it, is more likely to do it again in times of stress. Ie: combat.

Ummm if anyone tells you to act "gay"...dont listen to them, the UCMJ makes adjustment eveyday to avoid losing bodies because of mundane matters like sexual preference. If you tell your commander your gay, you just violated the "don't ask, don't tell" policy and will end up with a much larger headache than you already have.

Nope, never heard of it. You signed the contract, you raised your right hand and took the oath. Finish your enlistment, take your discharge and your done with it.
