Box of chocolate (risky if she thinks she's fat, or is dieting... I'd be PISSED if my guy got me candy!), a stuffed animal, a card, some sort of novelty toy (I don't mean sex toy, I was thinking of ths weird stuff we have in the holiday aisle at my store). Maybe flowers... not red roses since you aren't really dating her... pink roses, or just flowers.

Something original and heartfelt (vomit). Women usually are so romantically delusional. But definitely something very unique would be good in my eyes, which you put a lot of effort into. I know, hire one of those guys who do skywriting, and get him to write a message like 'I love you so-and-so' or something like that. But you should really think of something that'd suit her tastes. You can't really ask people who've never met her to suggest ideas for a date. Especially if you're trying to impress her! I know I'd feel that it was less special if you got the idea from some random. BUT you definitely should buy her a lot of roses. Roses are good.

how about you buy her a bracelet? It doesn't have to be really expensive- you can get one from the jewellry store for about $15. Or maybe send her a rose with a card attached- a guy who was interested in me (we weren't dating at the time) left a rose in my letterbox on valentines day, and it made me feel so adored!! I'm sure she'd love whatever you got her, but try to keep things simple. good luck!!

A good declaration "eye to eye" with something funny like a original poem but dont over do it you might scare her away...
