hearing other people's opinion isn't going to help you much, you just gonna get different answers. Only God know, but we should live like He's right around the corner.

well if you only ask the people that believe in the rapture the only answer you will get is 'yes'.

Is this Yahoo Answers or Yahoo Affirmation?

If the rapture were true it would be the will of god, no way to stop it and blasphemy to try.

So why don't you life your life and be a good person and don't worry about it. It will come or it won't. God still requires you to live a good life according to your beliefs, right?

ps. I'm an atheist.

Are you ready?

1 Thessalonians 5:2 For you know quite well that the day of the Lord's return will come unexpectedly, like a thief in the night.

2 Peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as unexpectedly as a thief. Then the heavens will pass away with a terrible noise, and the very elements themselves will disappear in fire, and the earth and everything on it will be found to deserve judgment.

Matthew 24:44 You also must be ready all the time, for the Son of Man will come when least expected.

No... it's not near.

People have been proclaiming that they are living through the "end times" for waaaaay too long. There's always some unhygienic street-corner evangelist crackpot sputtering about how the world is going to end and that all the heathens better get the Lord harassed into their unsaved souls.

It STILL hasn't happened. The sky isn't falling. The oceans aren't boiling. Pigs are most definitely NOT sprouting wings and taking to the skies. They've been barking about it for years and years and years and they'll STILL be barking for years to come.

It's a scare tactic, a convenient freak- the- everliving- crap- out- of- folks magic wand that can be waved about in dramatic fashion any time the religious collective feels the soul harvest is running dry.

Trust me... go about your life. Ok, I'm sure you will anyhow considering there's really no alternative option (besides suicide, and I've heard “God” frowns upon that), but just make sure to keep in mind: STAY CALM. DON'T PANIC. REMEMBER YOUR TOWEL.

I do believe that it is and there's no denying it. There are so many obvious signs but many people just decide to deny them. For example, it says in the Bible there's gona be wars (now look at how many wars are happening around the world), natural disasters (earthquakes and tornadoes are more and more severe and closer together), etc. Even the "mark of the beast" they've now developed the technology needed for the implantation of the chip. The Gospel is being preached "to the ends of the world". If you put the picture together, Jesus definitly will come to pick up his church. The sad part is, a lot of people are denying it even though it cannot be more obvious.

i don't believe, but i can answer your question

the Rapture is supposed to occur 2000 years after the death of Christ, a time which some scholars speculate has come and gone. other scholars argue that when this was written, the measurement of days, weeks, months and years was slightly to very different than what we use today.

so, no one knows for sure when Christ will Rapture the Church. you should be more worried about what is supposed to happen after the Rapture if you are left behind

Curiously, there are so many "Christians" that say they don't believe in the rapture. Odd, since the bible speaks of those being alive and remaining on earth will be caught up in the clouds. It's right there in the bible.

As to when it will occur, only God knows. I hope it isn't too far off. I'm getting extremely tired of this wicked world.

The rapture is a man-made doctrine. We are deep in the time of the end.

Every generation for the last two thousand years has believed that the rapture would happen during their lifetime. The point is, if it were to happen tomorrow would you be ready?

There are indications (signs, if you will) that the world is nearing it's end as Jesus had predicted. But there are still prophecies that need to be fulfilled before that occurs. The important thing is to accept Christ no matter when He comes back. As a believer, there is no greater joy than the return of our Savior. For those who belong to Christ, the end of the world means the start of an eternal life in the presence of God.

read the Bible and pray. a lot of stuff that rev. talks about is happening. most we dont even know about. like right now there is the national id that is coming out. with out it you cant buy stuff, hold a job, have a bank account, board planes busses or trains. and that is just one thing. there are many more things happening. i would say we are near. however the Bible also says we dont know when. so it can also be another 1000 years or so. but most things are being fullfield now. yes they thought it would happen 20 yrs ago or so. however most the stuff did not happen that is happening now.
