If this happens all the time, you MUST go see a doctor immediately. The proximate cause is very likely to be low blood pressure, but the underlying cause may anything from dehydration to a serious heart problem.

Don't wait on this. Go the doctor immediately. Have someone drive you to the ER tonight -- or certainly tomorrow morning.

How old are you?
It is likely to be benign. When you stand up quickly, often your blood pressure drops transiently and you don't get enough blood supply to the brain, hence you start to blackout and feel dizzy. This usually resolves within 30 sec. It tends to happen more frequently in taller people. As a previous person mentioned, this is called orthostatic hypotension.
However, as previously mentioned, there may be a few more sinister reasons (such as funny heart rhythms, brain conditions) that may be causing it, and you should seek medical attention soon.

You probably have othostatic hypotension. This is where your blood pressure drops sharply when you go from a lying to sitting and then standing position. You need to go get this checked out at the docs office.
