My wife and I have had many threesomes, both FMF and MFM. Personally, I prefer the MFM because I love to see my wife being the center of attention and having the time of her life.
I can't understand why people would only want to do this with someone they don't care about. It would seem to me that if your partner wanted to try something like this, and they trusted you and your relationship enough to even ask, and you were good with it too, that you would want to share this adventure together. After all, isn't that what love is about? Sharing life's adventures?
Now when you shouldn't? If one member of the couple is just wanting to do this to get extra sex and is just using the other person to do it, then that is the wrong reason. That is a selfish reason. It has to be done for both people in the couple. It has to be both of their fantasy. AND, they both need to keep in mind that the door swings both ways. If he his fantasy is a FMF threesome and hers is a MFM threesome, he has to be open to the idea for her also. Otherwise the situation is based on selfishness and insecurity on his part and there will be bad stuff afterward.
Done by the wrong people for the wrong reasons and it will end-up disastrous - which I'd bet is the case all of those here that would say they tried it and it was terrible and caused them to break-up.
As long as it's done between the right people for the right reason then it will be a great experience and one you'd probably want do repeat over and over. In fact, doing something that fun together will probably bring you closer together as a couple.
So, if you are secure in yourself, in each other, and in your relationship, then you're good to go. If any one of those three is missing then you're not right for swinging at this point in your life or your relationship.

How confident are you as a woman to share your man. If you go there you better be prepared to go all the way, the moment you start showing signs of uncomfortability and you've already agreed; will make him frown upon you. Be careful of what you're asking for.

The definition of a true threesome is 2 girls and a guy. So if you can handle seeing your boy toy nailing someone else then go for it.
