I am travelling with only hand luggage but need to take a pair of shoes which won't fit into the bag. Do you think it'll be ok if I take them separately to my (smallish) hand luggage bag? I'm travelling with Ryanair by the way but don't have time to contact them before my flight. Thanks!

yep, as long as your second bag with the shoes in is handbag size. on item of hand luggage and one hand or man bag as long as it isn't too big is fine.

Yes. You can take one carry on and one handbag, and if the shoes fit in there, no problem.
