i don't know what is mean of spur????

I has a heel spur a few years ago and the doctor told me it was from to much calcium...so i done some research and i found a way to get rid of it (desolve it)....i started taking the vitamin called magnesium,and it worked very well....i have no trouble with it since....it got so bad i couldn't hardly walk.

A spur is worn on your boots when you are riding horses. They are made out of metal and be as simple as a button spur or a double rawl (two rawls) spur.. Check out western movies and you will see spurs being worn by the cowboys.

And as one of you other answers a spur is medical term used to describe a growth of bone usually on your heel.

In medical terminology, a spur is a small amount of bone that extends out from the normal bone structure. Usually, you have bone spurs in the heel, or in some other joints, when you get them.

Sometimes, they are surgically correctable, other times not.
