I'm afraid you and I have the same problem. What you have been observing is natural behavior for a male kitty. I know it may be funny to watch him humping Teddy Ruxpin, but if you let him run around chasing the ladies at night, you're going to have a real problem in a few months. The best thing to do is get him neutered A.S.A.P., before things get out of control. If you cannot afford to get him fixed, call up your local Humane Society, and ask them if they know of anyone who can fix him at low cost.
Otherwise, be prepared to have him squirting pee all over the place, and stinking up your house. I'm ion the process of getting my cat fixed as I speak.

February 27, 2007 is national spay and neuter day. Contact your local animal shelter and they can give you information on getting free or low cost neutering. Your cat is going to be a lot happier if you get him fixed. He is getting more anti-social to other cats because of his raging hormones and it is not healthy for him or for the other cats. He can get life threatening diseases, cat AIDS, from having sex with other cats, and there will then be many unwanted kittens in the world. Do you know how many cats are put to death every day because they don't have homes? Please don't make that situation worse. When you took that cat in you took on an obligation. If you can't handle it, then take him to a rescue organization or the shelter if need be. Better that he be put to sleep than he produce hundreds of kittens who have to be put to sleep. For the cat, for you, for the innocent unborn kittens, please have your cat neutered so that he can lead a healthy, happy life.

if your cat is not fixed, he needs to be. when they get to a certain age, if they are not fixed, they will begin spraying to mark their territory. You will NOT want this to happen - the smell will last forever and you'll have worse problems. the fix is NOT to breed him, the world doesn't need any more animals who will have problems finding a good home. Take care of him soon, you will have many years with him and he will be a great friend.

The best thing for male cats with this behavior is to neuter them. I have two male cats and I have never seen either of them have any of this behavior since they have been fixed. Hope this helps:)

Unless you're going to breed him, please, please, PLEASE get him fixed (yes I know "neutered" is today's phrase, but those of us of a certain age will always say "fixed"). Especially since he's an indoor cat and a male and will spray to mark his territory, and the smell of male cat urine is well-nigh impossible to erase. And when you do have him fixed, please, please, PLEASE DON'T LET HIM OUT!!! He won't be as aggressive and could get hurt or worse if let out!!!
