Presdination I don't think so. It is a warning Yes but it does not talk as if "someday I will do this" The things it talks about are things that go on all the time. It is saying don't be surprised when they do.

This is the best source I have found for an online translation and texts it has three translations side by side. Good for quick reference, but I prefer the real thing to computer.

I don't feel it does. It is Gabriel talking directly to Mohammed about Lucifers' Fall, how perfectly Allah made the earth for humans to inhabit and prove His greatness. I saw no allusions to predestination unless you are reading from the perspective that Gabriel is speaking directly to you.

Oh, now I see...Surah 17:71,72-One day We shall call together all human beings with their Imams:those who are given their record in their right handwill read it (with pleasure), and they will not be dealt with unjustly in the least. But those who were blind in this world, will be blind in the Hereafter, and most astray from the Path.

I still don't feel this is to be interpreted as proof of predestination.

don't know about the quran, but the bible says He choose those who were going to be saved before we existed, so there was a process of choosing and eliminating, why He choose certain people and eliminated others from being save---i don't know, it's not the quran but i do belive so, GBY.

It would seem doubtful that a god that wasnt familiar with the past could predict the future.
