http://www.powerpak.com/
this is a great place to FREE CE's I have found them to be very interesting and up to date.
I am a pharmacy student but I know there are also nursing CE's there.
As far as research, http://www.webmd.com/ is surprisingly accurate with out buying a subscription to the NEJM or JAMA which aren't cheap!
For a nurse though http://www.micromedex.com/ (still not free) may be the best. Most hospital data bases run a version of this one
If you are really interested in more in depth research you're going to have to pay but I think it's worth it.
