It doesnt hurt at all. Have you ever gotten a needle from the doctor? If you have guess what... It hurts alot less than that.

Why are you doing this if you are scared? Ask yourself that question. You gain very little for the pain, you know.
Some people have very low tolerance for pain. It doesn't make a bad person or anything. It does raise the bar on what you'd do to look just a little cuter.
** Buuuutt! if you just want to know how to deal with pain, here are two good ways. As mentioned above, any distraction will help. So have your trusted family or friend pinch you on the blind side unexpectedly just as the piercing gun goes in.
Second way is to ask for some topical pain killer. these are creams that go on your skin to make you feel less. Call around for pharmacies and the ear piercing specialists. (not the ear-ring sellers, they mess up more often than not) Ask about topical lidocaine.
Finally, like mentioned above, the anticipation is the worst part. Just do it after you've made up your mind. It really will be over in a pinch. those pros use good piercing guns and most people don't feel a thing. A good piercer will talk with you, get you relaxed, and pinch you when you're not expecting.

I had mine first pierced at 6 months old, and over time I let them close up (now 15) and when I was 13 I decided to get them re pierced, and I was so afraid of the pain that I put off getting them pierced for almost 2 months from the original date! I eventually was in the mall and just got it done and it didn't hurt at all! Now I have 3 holes in each ear. Remember that it doesn't hurt. I find that when you get a second hole, you feel less pressure and more of a tiny pinch. And they don't feel like they're burning either. Just think that when you get them pierced, how good it's going to feel knowing you did it! =] Not much else I can say, it's all up to you.

I'm a total needlephobe and I have 17 peircings. =) Take someone with you to talk to so you're not so nervous, that's what I always do, it's really the best advice I can give you. Also what I do is psych myself up that it's going to hurt horribly so when I get it done it's like "...oh...that was it?" it sound lame but it works. (And don't get it done with a gun, go to a professional piercer, it doesn't hurt as much AND it's 100% cleaner.)

Have someone come along to hold your hand. Squeeze hard and close your eyes. It will be over in a sec.
(wear clip on earring for a few days before. The agony of those things alone will make you run to the nearest ear piercing salon)

As long as you are getting your ear lobes pierced... it won't be too bad. I think the scariest part is the anticipation... it really is a quick pinching feeling... and then your ear will feel really hot.
Go with someone, hold their hand if you have to. Ask to have two people pierce you at the same time.

trust me, if they numb your ears first it doesnt hurt at all! =) ive just had my second piercing done..
just relax and try and think about something else when ur getting it done, and if you're not sure when u want to get them pierced just get up one day and say 'ok todays the day'. it stops you fretting about it too much if you get it done soon as possible =P
take my word, you'll be ok

Don't do it, it's not like it's required. Besides, who needs more than 1 piercing per ear anyway, sounds like a fad.
