I simulate punches while holding 15 pound weights. This seems to be working but its getting old. Are there any other workouts that will make me get my first KO.

old school boxing never used weight lifting durning training ever, its only a recent invention, i like old school, get a heavier bag and concentrate on each and every punch, the heavier the bag and the more power it takes to move it creates rock hard punches, swinging also builds punching power as in swinging an axe to cut down a tree, or using a baseball bat to hit a tire swinging from a tree ... do all three and watch your opponent hit the canvas

Besides the heavy bag, do one handed fist push ups. Make a fist with one hand and brace the wrist with the other. Set you feet wide and do as many as you can. If you can Do at least 5, you'll have knock out power.

The weights will help in hand speed but not punching power. You get this by punching the heavy bag. Punch each time like you are trying for a knockout...real hard..this will help in your stregnth...Do so regularly and you knockouts will come.

Hitting the heavy bag and when your practicing your technique make sure when your pivet your back foot when throwing a cross. So if your orthodox and you throw a one two make sure you pivet your right foot this will get your full body wieght behind your punch.

Good luck

Try 3-point push up, it's just like normal push ups, but you put one leg on top of the other.
