Absolutely. While physical attraction is a big factor, it's based on something that is very temporary and easily changeable. We all lose our looks in the end (to a degree) and a true, meaningful relationship is one that's based on something that isn't: the actual person inside the skin.

It is superficial, yes. However, I do believe that physical attraction in a relationship is important.
When I had a serious boyfriend, we discussed how we would feel if the other suddenly became physically disabled in a wheelchair, for example. He told me that he would still love me and it made me feel especially loved because he loved me for my personality.
If someone loses interest in you because of your appearance, then they don't truly love you for who you are.

sounds shallow. And insecure. And immature.
Life happens- people get sick, pregnant, fat, wide, thin, loose their hair, and some women even have to have their breasts cut off. I wonder what that person would say about that?
