How should I ask him to the dance??

There's this kid John and he found out that i liked him yesterday. He wasn't to thrilled but I want to ask him to the Valentine Dance on Friday. Only one problem I dont know how! If he goes to the library tomorrow I'm going to talk to him and I was hoping to bring up the subject of the dance then and then ask him. But I've never asked a guy to a dance before, and I want to. I really like him but I don't know how to ask him. Help!!!???

We're only in middle school 7th grade.

Say "John, will you go to the Valentine's dance with me?" The worst that can happen is he says no.

Why wasnt he too thrilled? Well, I am assuming you are in high school? If so, find out through the grapevine if he has a date. It is important to find out if he has a date first before asking him. If he doesnt, bring it up subtly but do it alone. Some guys are shy in front of their friends. Plus if he turns you down, you can always deny that you asked him since no one was there to witness it.

If he likes you like you like him a guy will ask you but if you feel like that may not happen for instance he is shy then just say. Hi John I was wondering if you have asked anyone to the dance yet if he says yes well your shot down but if he says no then theres your chance ask if he would like to go to the dance with you rejection hurts but how will you know until you do it. Like NIKE says Just Do It!

work you way up to the question. example: if you meet him in the library first start to talk about books then slowly bring the questions up about the dance.

you should just go to the dance and when you see him walk up to him, start dancing and be like,"Heeeey this my song!
