Oh, yeah. Saved my life several times, as well as the lives of others around me. I'm DANGEROUS! Guardian angels have a big job. They protect you in all phases and areas of your life. they guide us, and defend us from attacks of many sorts. 'Taint an easy job. Especially around me!
But they would be the first to give credit for their work to Jesus. They're just doing as they are told.

Well Islam teaches us that we have one angel who records your good deeds. Another who records your bad deeds. This is all put into your record, which is a very detailed account of your life. This will be used on the "Day of Judgement", and determines where we will then go.
About a guardian angel, I'm not sure. I think that angels may protect us at times (as per God's command), I think there are authentic sayings from the prophet Muhammad (pbuh) in regards to those matters. When we look at how often toddlers get into big trouble without getting hurt, it seems that they are getting some sort of "support".

I have read that we each have a guardian angel, I don't know mine. I thought about this quite a bit a few weeks ago, I wonder if a lot of the credit I give to Jesus, actually should go to my guardian angel. I even asked Jesus about this, but I'm still searching for the answer.

No, but I have an Hamingja. Hamingja is part of the Norse concept of the soul. It a part of the soul that is passed down from one generation to the next; it is often though that when a person dies their hamingja is passed on to a loved one. You might could think of it as some Christians think of their “Guardian angel”. The ancient Norse believed that their hamingja watched over them and helped guide them. I strongly suspect this is often when a loved one dies, you can sometimes feel as if they are still with you.

It always seemed that a tragic accident has been avoided. Yes, I believe I have a guardian angel looking out and protecting me.

Yes, Jesus mentoined little children have them. (i dont know the verse) and in Acts when Peter was kept outside because they didnt belive it was him, the people are quoted to of said,...."You are out of your mind it must be HIS ANGEL" Acts 12:15
As to duty, I would have to say, to watch over you I guess.

I think we all do and there duty is to protect us as much as they can and warn us of inpending trouble
