you hear soo much about global warming, but nothing about the ozone hole shrinking?

That's because the media is more focused in the doom and gloom aspect and not on positive issues. If you asked the general public whether or not the ozone layer is recovering and they would probably say no. The media only reports on negative issues because it sells more papers and gets people watching. The real problem is when people get all their information from a source that has altering motives, like selling papers. They can twist the real issues to suit themselves and make more sales. The average person knows no better and when you try to tell them different they don't believe you because they read it in the paper or saw it in the TV so they think is all true. Most people don't have a scientific mind so the most easiest explanation is generally excepted.

Because, thanks to international cooperation (the "Montreal Protocol") in reducing ozone depleting gases, the problem with the ozone layer is steadily being solved.

Global warming is out of control, and international efforts to control it (the Kyoto treaty) are not working. Some countries didn't sign, others aren't meeting their obligations. Getting a workable agreement is very important and very hard.

you have a good point, but i think it's mostly because global warming is a much bigger problem.
