I was wondering what chapter and verse of the Bible this story is in... It's a story about a woman that came to Jesus because of something going on with her and he told her to leave him....I believe twice. She persisted and responded that even dogs deserved to be taken care of (or something like that). lol Okay, so yeah I pretty much botched this story up. But I don't remember the specifics. I just know that a year or so ago our pastor discussed it in church and used it as a lesson. Anybody know what i'm talking about? Sorry my info is so vague.

Mar 7:25 For a [certain] woman, whose young daughter had an unclean spirit, heard of him, and came and fell at his feet:
Mar 7:26 The woman was a Greek, a Syrophenician by nation; and she besought him that he would cast forth the devil out of her daughter.
Mar 7:27 But Jesus said unto her, Let the children first be filled: for it is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast [it] unto the dogs.
Mar 7:28 And she answered and said unto him, Yes, Lord: yet the dogs under the table eat of the children's crumbs.
Mar 7:29 And he said unto her, For this saying go thy way; the devil is gone out of thy daughter.

Mark 7
The Faith of a Syrophoenician Woman
24Jesus left that place and went to the vicinity of Tyre.[g] He entered a house and did not want anyone to know it; yet he could not keep his presence secret. 25In fact, as soon as she heard about him, a woman whose little daughter was possessed by an evil[h] spirit came and fell at his feet. 26The woman was a Greek, born in Syrian Phoenicia. She begged Jesus to drive the demon out of her daughter.

27"First let the children eat all they want," he told her, "for it is not right to take the children's bread and toss it to their dogs."

28"Yes, Lord," she replied, "but even the dogs under the table eat the children's crumbs."

29Then he told her, "For such a reply, you may go; the demon has left your daughter."

30She went home and found her child lying on the bed, and the demon gone.

The correct answer is Matthew 15:22-28.

And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, [thou] Son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil. (Mat 15:22)

But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us. (Mat 15:23)

But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel. (Mat 15:24)

Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me. (Mat 15:25)

But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast [it] to dogs. (Mat 15:26)

And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table. (Mat 15:27)

Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great [is] thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour. (Mat 15:28)

Matthew 25:21-28
21Leaving that place, Jesus withdrew to the region of Tyre and Sidon.
22A Canaanite woman from that vicinity came to him, crying out, "Lord, Son of David, have mercy on me! My daughter is suffering terribly from demon-possession."

23Jesus did not answer a word. So his disciples came to him and urged him, "Send her away, for she keeps crying out after us."

24He answered, "I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel."

25The woman came and knelt before him. "Lord, help me!" she said.

26He replied, "It is not right to take the children's bread and toss it to their dogs."

27"Yes, Lord," she said, "but even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masters' table."

28Then Jesus answered, "Woman, you have great faith! Your request is granted." And her daughter was healed from that very hour.

It's also recorded in the book of Mark.
