Jesus, as the SON of God the Father, was sinless It takes sinless-ness to get into Heaven. Jesus, as true God and as an actual human being (see accounts of the crucifixion, beating, bleeding, torture, nailed to a Roman Cross, died.=human) accepted upon Himself the sins of ALL mankind and made atonement for them. God (the Father) accepted Jesus sacrifice and will account all mankind as sinless, acceptable for Heaven. It took something/someone perfect and sinless to atone for someone (all people) sins. Jesus as sinless God and man is the only one that could do such a thing....and He did. Now, we need to accept this gift of forgiveness and live according to it. If you have a Bible, and I'm sure you have heard it before, read John 3:16. "For God (the Father) so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son (Jesus) that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life (Heaven) There is your answer. He did it for us...

Isn't sacrifice the most immoral method of "saving" humanity you have ever seen? It reminds me of those cults of ancient South American religious empires where they had to sacrifice virgins or tear the heart out of someone to appease the Sun God or some other divinity.

Why would a compassionate God require his prophet and son to be tortured and sacrificed on a cross to save humanity? Does that make sense? Is that something to emulate? Is that the best way God could think to show his power and love for mankind? It all seems so primitive and prehistoric!

History has shown that the sacrifice of Jesus was a huge failure to redeem humanity from wickedness. It did not convince people to be loving or compassionate. They remained exactly as they were. In fact, Christianity added to the already existing religious divisions that caused further atrocities for centuries!

Jesus was crucified for the sins of mankind...He was the sacrificial lamb for all of us...It took his death and resurrection to give us all a chance of eternal life with him in Heaven

God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that who so ever belived in him, should not perish but have ever lasting life. So jesus went to the cross to be the Ultimate sacrifice for all our sins that we might be saved

Mathew 1:21
She shall bring forth a son and they shall call his name Jesus for he shall save his people from there sins

Matthew Chapter 27 Verse 27 Talks about when Jesus was a bout to be Crucified it starts at verse 27-66

Matthew Chapter 28 Verse 1 - 20 talks about after the 3rd day Jesus rises from the dead

As no one, not even the devil, had the authority to take the life of a sinless man, let alone the only son of God, Jesus' death at the hands of Satan and his minions became their own undoing.

Jesus was then resurrected and installed as the new head of all mankind.

With Jesus as the new leader, God was more than willing to forgive.

Now all we need do to receive forgiveness is swear faithful allegiance to Christ, preferably through baptism into his church.

It's that simple.

Jesus died on the cross for our sins then rose again 3 days later because at that moment in time, he represinted us. God had to look down at his own son, perfict Jesus Christ, as sinful. That ment that Jesus held all our sins that we were to do. Then the 3 days later he rose is to show that we can repent and turn from ALL of our sins and go to Heaven, and that He is waiting for us in Heaven!

This is what I beleve why Jesus died.

No...the idea is that God sent His son to relate to us. To live in our skin to show that yeah, it's hard, I can do it too and not mess up all the time. The idea was be with people and to show them that even though God was right here (Jesus was/is God), He was still rejected. He wasn't mad at himself or anything. No self loathing. That's the idea anyway. It's quite maddening if you think about it too much.

Why do you continue to ask this question? Are you mocking someone?? I don't believe in the trinity and to me your question is absurd and I don't really think you care if you get an answer or not. It sounds like you just want to be irritating. If I am wrong, I appologize and will be happy to really answer your question.

The Romans only crucified political prisoners. The Jesus of the Bible is directly related to the Zealots (as in Simon the Zealot) and the Sicarii (as in Judas Iscariot). To his followers he was a freedom fighter, to the Romans, a Palestinian terrorist. The irony.

Jesus was crucified for the sins of mankind...He was the sacrificial lamb for all of us...It took his death and resurrection to give us all a chance of eternal life with him in Heaven...We keep on sinning and he keeps on forgiving, someday he will return and we will all be accountable for our sins...I hope you will be ready, I hope to be in Heaven with you and to celebrate eternal life, happiness, peace and contentment...God Bless!!
